    8 Day: Eastern Delight Itinerary

    Day 1: Kalimpong

    Arrive Bagdogra by flight. You shall be met & assisted and driven to Kalimpong (79 kms / 2.5 hrs). Arrive Kalimpong and check in to your hotel.

    Overnight: Silver Oaks (B, D)

    Day 2: Gangtok

    Proceed for a half-day tour of Kalimpong. Visit the Durpin Dara, offering breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga Range and the mighty Teesta river. Visit the Zong Dog Palri Fo Brang Gompa, which was consecrated by Dalai Lama. Also visit the flower and orchid nurseries, and the local market. Evening drive to Gangtok (77 kms / 2.5 hrs). Arrive Gangtok and check in to your hotel.

    Day 3: Gangtok

    Proceed for a full-day tour of Gangtok. Enjoy a tour of Gangtok. Visit Do Drul Chorten, the biggest stupa in Sikkim. Popularly known as Phurba, this holy stupa is girdled with 108 prayer wheels. Also visit the Institue of Tibetology, which houses a collection of rare Sanskrit, Lepcha and Tibetan manuscripts, sculptures and Thankas. In the afternoon, visit the Roomtek monastery and Dharma Chakra Centre, one of the most important sites for every Buddhist.

    Day 4: Pemayangste

    Drive to Pemayangste (117 kms / 3.5 hrs). Enroute visit of Ravangla. Ravangla offers beautiful views of snow clad mountains and peaks such as Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Pandim, Mount Sinialchu and Mount Kabru. Arrive Pamayangtse and check into your hotel and relax.

    Overnight: Elgin Mt. Pandim (B, D)

    Day 5: Pemayangtse

    Proceed for a full-day tour of Pemayangtse. The Pemayangtse monastery is the main attraction of this small town. It is the second oldest monastery in the state, and is the main center of the Nyingamapa sect. Also visit the Rimbi Falls, Kechodpalri Lake, Kanchendzonga Falls & Rimbi Power Project.

    Day 6: Darjeeling

    Drive to Darjeeling (75 kms / 2 hrs). Arrive Darjeeling and check in to your hotel and relax.

    Day 7: Darjeeling

    Proceed for a full-day tour of Darjeeling. Early this morning, make a pre dawn visit to Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise over the Mt Kanchenjunga- a truly enchating sight. Later, visit the Ghoom Monastery. Visit the Batasia Loop, and enjoy a ride in the toy train over brilliantly engineered looped tracks. Visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, which has successfully bred endangered species like the snow leopard and red panda. Proceed to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute- it offers training in mountain climbing, and maintains a fascinating museum of memorabilia. Visit the Tibetan Refugee self help Centre.

    Overnight: Cedar Inn (B , D)

    Day 8: Onward Travel

    Proceed to Bagdogra (93 kms / 2.5 hrs) to board the flight for your onward destination.
