This snug little bush camp is chock-full of singular character. Five tents command a view over the rushing Mara River, at once bursting with laughing hippo and languorous crocodile. True to it’s unpretentious origins, camp life is low-key and tranquil.
The experience at Serian‘s mobile camp is focused on viewing wildlife, and in particular, the migration of wildebeest and zebra as they cross the Mara River. Each day will be new and exciting as nature unfolds a soap opera of sorts right before your eyes. The mess is furnished with candelabras, trunks, tables, Lamu beds, soft cushions and chairs. Meals are often served in different locations throughout the camp and dinner is most often held around a roaring campfire that serves as a focal point in colder evenings.
You wake up feeling part of a wildlife documentary with lions, zebras and buffalos. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. This is a traditional mobile safari camp with flushing toilets and traditional safari showers.
