Bev first developed the travel bug in her early 20s whilst on a round the world trip. She travelled through South East Asia, Western Australia and New Zealand. She fell in love with South East Asia and has made several trips back out there to work, study and volunteer – and basically ‘get amongst it’ with the local people and culture. Bev has also spent some time in Zanzibar and stayed in various properties both in the North and along the East coast. As well as enjoying the glorious sun, beaches, chilled out vibe - and not to mention the mouth watering food, Bev took heart to the need for increased sustainability and profits that make their way to local communities. This is very much inline with the ethics of Pure Safari and so having been a friend of the team for sometime, Bev was very happy to join the marketing and admin department in 2011, supporting Nick.
Bev’s role within the team is to help raise awareness of: the fantastic experiences that our expert sales team provide; the ethical values of the company and those that we work alongside; and of course all of the exclusive offers we are fortunate to access on behalf of customers. She also makes a cracking cuppa.
Bev has a background in project management, web usability and information architecture, graphic design, marketing, communications and – randomly - the ancient healing art of Thai yoga massage.
